From Sofia

The houses are based in the village of Maluk Izvor, near Yablanitsa, 85km north-east of Sofia.

Take the E79 motorway towards Varna and leave the motorway after about 80km, taking the junction to Yablanitsa. In the centre square of Yablanitsa, take the signs marked to Teteven/Ribaritsa. After 3km, take a right turn (not very well signposted) towards Glozhne Monastery/Malak Izvor.

As you drive up through the village of Malak Izvor, you will see shops and a small square on the left. Do not turn here, continue up the hill for 40 metres and take the street on the right. You'll see our sign on the lampost. We are up at the end of this street.

By Bus: There are regular and effecient buses from the central bus station.  The buses go to or drop off at Yablanitsa, from where we will be happy to pick you up.  It is also possible to take bikes on the buses, should you be keen to bring your own - just ask the driver.  See the timetable on www.centralnaavtogara.bg

From the UK

Bulgaria is in the south-east corner of Europe and is about 2.5 – 3 hours flight away from the UK.  You need to fly to Sofia (which incidentally has a spanking new airport) and you will be picked up from there for a 75 minute transfer to the village.
